For the life of me
I will never forget
Those eyes
Silent green rimmed
In brown
Staring back 
At me
So full of hurt
Disgust
And for the first time
Tears
And I stared back
Fierce
Determined
And for the first time
Wrong
And I waited 
For him to tell me
To offer some hint
Of forgiveness
As I had done him
Countless times
Before
And my eyes didn't
Even blink
As he got up
And left
