face is hot like i'm holding it near the oven door when you put your imploring hand in mine skin against skin twin hearts beating in cavities now swollen like the bows of trees grown for violins and then my smile like a love scene smile from the old black-and-whites guileless and whole-hearted imparting surrender i need you like blood in my veins to give me peace of mind i've felt as if i were unwinding but you cherish me and re-wind
