You were a woman like no other I knew right away you wouldn't make me suffer But I had to find a way for you to notic And when we did, it was glorious Wherever you went, my eyes were there I couldn't resist, I had to stare The most beautiful woman in here I couldn't believe it, I was near She asked me to go with her and walk We didn't do anything but talk We walked into the moonlight I thought to myself, "what a perfect night" We got married, and I thought we were going to last But, sometimes I cry when I talk about the past We were together for a year, I thought it was magic But something went wrong, it was tragic She was hit in a car crash The only thing she remembered was her life flash They rushed her to the hospital Oh God, it was horrible She was hit real hard on the head The doctors said, "She was brain dead" I bent to my knees and started to cry My wife is going to die Months have passed, and she was still in a coma She has lost everything, except her aroma I don't want her to go, I want her with me The doctor said, "That can't happen, just let her free" I got up, and went by her side I bent down into her ear, and whispered good-bye I kissed her, and gave her a final hug I closed my eyes shut, and pulled the plug When I left, I didn't want to live Because I had no more love to give The moral of this poem is: you can have someone Next thing you know, they're gone So don't take love for granted Because one day you may end up stranded
Reason for writing:
The reason I wrote this poem was because I am facinated about people who give all efforts in keeping their love alive.
