I hate you so much for leaving me, but I love you for letting me go Even though this hurts more than I can describe You only did it because you knew it was best for me I kept holding on to a fading memory One I just couldnt let die So I held it tightly in my firm grasp Until today when you gently unclenched my fist and opened my heart to a whole new world You showed me something I had not seen A sight of such beauty and peacefulness An everlasting calm floated over me I felt free and alive and happy again I didnt hate you any longer For you had set my soul free Thank you for helping me move on For guiding me along until I was ready to go on alone I found my inner strength I found my light inside And now it shines brighter than ever
