Pressing Down

by Lady - Taurus

Centuries of lives pressing down
So heavy the weight
So close to the ground

Time warps and abstracts the lives we lead
So can we learn
Or can we just bleed

When my time ends will it be of my bidding
With a rope or a razor
Or the true coward winning

All my lives colliding in this reality
Blending this time
To end the triviality

The pursuit of happiness is the pursuit of pain
So we journey alone
With nothing to gain

Until finaly the centuries all come crashing down
So heavy the weight
So close to the ground
