holding each other
alone, gently in my place
my heart prepared itself
while i became ready
my heart beating heavily
my hands clamored
a sudden warmth
came over me
feeling your head, gently
upon my chest
with my arms around you
and yours around me
i said the words
i finally said them sincerely
"i love you", i love you
while i recited a
memorized poem to you
my heart raced faster
faster than before
at the end, happiness
filled me within
because my heart has found
my love in you
