Hope and Wishes
If I could have one simple wish it’d be,
To see us back together like before,
The way you would always make me happy,
Now I can’t have those feelings anymore.
You promised we would be friends forever,
The words still clear in the back of my mind,
All the things we had been through together,
Lies I could not see because I was blind.
The day we chose to say our last goodbyes,
Was the day our friendship came to a sad end,
That was the last time I needed to cry,
For I knew I had lost my true best friend.
Days have gone by when I only think of you,
And hope our love and friendship can renew.
Reason for writing:
My ex boyfriend and I have been broken up for 7 months now. We had a bad realationship towards the end and he did not want to speak to me ever again. It took me awhile to move on with my own life and after i had i met someone else more wonderful then he. I had just ended my relationship when out of the blue my ex had called me. Now we are talkin and working things out. This is dedicated to our relationship.
