Get out yer Gladrags And give them a show The full improvised act They'll never know That it isn't you Who you are But they don't care They want the Star. Jump at their commands Laugh at their jokes Do all that you can To be accepted by folk. Drown out your character Throw it away They don't want you to have a say. A Masqerade Is what they demand So do as they say And loes the upper hand For what was wrong With who you are do you really have to be a star?
