It was a love like yours that unbridled my wishful thinking Yet at the age I'm at now, it led me to the realization That youngsters think blindly Or... what's that other word? Naively But even though I was young At the time that you had entered my life I couldn't have helped falling into your grasp For you had seemed *Key word- seemed* To hold in your hand the key to life's unanswered questions Of course, at that time, you held many other things as well Including my heart In which you dangled around by string Making it dance to the music you bled from your mouth The viscious lies you've become famous for No, I hold no regrets Although you broke me And threw all that I was into a dumpster of self-pity You, in the long run, saved me from a treachorous fall of doubt And hatred And plunged me into a sea of high achievement In which I swam to shore with a heart no longer yours.
