A dead legend A myth Told to children to scare them Foolish thoughts Primative ways The stories of those who suck the life off the living And fill them with the dead Governed by blood lust Wanting all for themselves A true story A fact Seen happening in a modern world Serious matters Gloomy days Issues of those who suck the life off society And fill it with greed Governed by money lust Wanting all for themselves Vampires, do they exist?
Reason for writing:
Unlike my other vampire poems, which are more based on the legend of the vampire, this poem reflects my political outlook on life. Do vampires exist and what are they sucking out of us?
