The Lady Night

by TH - Scorpio

Her soft caress
embracing my heart,
feeding on my hope,
laughing at bravado.

She hungers for my tears,
longs for my anguish.
In customary radiance,
she follows me down
to the pits of despair.
Her and I.
Alone we travel
into darkened corners,
searching for the demons,
seeking ghosts of the past.
Tears follow their age-old paths
as I cry without shame.

"Please let me free!
Don't let me see!
I just want
             to be..."

Her soft caress
  - a demon's grip
Embracing my heart
  - casting off life

Feeding on my hope,
laughing at my bravado.

Reason for writing:

    It should be quite obvious!
