A small town of people draws you in Takes your life and makes it theirs Fact or fiction no one cares. Try to hide is impossible They seek you out and think they know Or fabricate the story as they go. To mimic or say ‘did you hear…’ They will never understand the true you They are busy with who is who. Mistakes are never forgotten Envy, jealousy, anger, sadness There is a motive to the madness. Betrayal of the utmost You are no body indeed Until they find you are a need. Those who have gone to explore the world then returned It is apparent we grew The ones who have stayed never knew. There is no peace in a small town Nor a way to avoid the people Not even in a deep hole or tall steeple. So to the people I say ‘you will never know what you think you might Truth or gossip about my life Because I will not let you in to cause me strife.’Birth sign: Cancer
