You know what hurts the most? What goes deep through your skin Tags at your heart And just pulls you down so much farther than what you were before It's the realization That you have to face every day When you are approached by someone you truely love Truely care for And having to tell them that The person they care about Who they are looking at just now Was raped -Was hurt by someone who was once so close to them So horrifically close that they knew everywhere she went Everything she did And could have so easily Done it again Maybe even killed her That she lived in fear Every day afterwards Fearing the day that he would return To reclaim her For that's what I fear Everytime I look into another guys eyes Whenever I get close Approach the point of intimacy So much so that I find out everything about him And find out it's time to tell him who I am Yet it breaks me everytime Whenever the guy says he's sorry That he'll be there if I ever need him Need to talk And yet Not even a couple days later He's gone with the rest of them Just because He doesn't know how to deal.
