When I first saw you, I was afraid to speak. It took me a great deal of strength to walk over and talk to you. Afer I talked to you, I was afraid to hold you close, close to my heart. Afraid of what would happen if we fell apart. Now that I love you, I'm afraid to lose you, cause its you that causes my soul to soothe. Now that I have you, I fall asleep with a soft gentle smile on my face, because I know it is you that has made my life a better place. You're nothing to me except for love, you remind me of an angel cause you've come from above. When I first held you, I knew it was love for the first time, cause it felt like i was holding sunshine. When I first held you for the first time, it felt like a crime, because holding you close felt too good to be true. I know we're young, but I hope we grow old, cause I think I'm in love, or so I'm told. I know that if your always with me to hold, I can't ever grow cold. I was once told to hold on to the person I love, or else they might slip away, that is why I'm grasping you in hope we never fade. From day one I knew god made me for you. I wouldn't trade you for the world, or any amount of money. You mean nothing to me except for love, and love is a lot. Love is something big enough it cannot be fought. My inspiration to this poem was bre. she did not ask me to write her a poem or anything like that, she just deserved it. she deserves everything i can give her. i love her soooooo much, words cannot express how much i love her.
