eggs

by A. Bongiorno - Leo

haze of birth and flame
words scramble eggsboil and blood
un-sunnyside shell in throat
stuck eternal like photographed piercing
a lie things move holes grow bigger
and over like eggs

day plays outside unaccountable
and dye face grows yellow in mirror
with rainbows and cold
icicles and rainbows
bad weather and rainbows
broken window cracked refracting
and nourishing like eggs

night unfinished just ended
reach behind torn shoulder
at roaches caress them crease them
stop and flail head hands on table
eyes fork impaled see beautiful pale
running still blood body expanding

morning swallows me
like eggs.
