The enemy is all around him, he fears for his life. He gets up to run but falls as the pain stabs him like a knife. He lies there in pain as tears flood his eyes. A friend runs toward him, breaks down and cries. A puddle of blood forms all around him. He lies there dying as the sky turns grim. He closes his eyes; his blood runs cold. He thinks about his wife, knowing he will never again have her to hold. All he can do is lie there feeling the rain upon his face. Now the pain is fading, be begins to drift away, all he can feel is Gods gentle embrace. She hears a knock and races to the door. She swings it open and drops to the floor. There, at her door, two officers stand, One knelt down and gave her the note from his hand. The officers just stand there and do not speak, Silently watching her as tears run down her cheek. The room is quiet except for the singing of the morning birds. She silently cries as she reads these words: "Do not stand at my grave and cry. I am not there, for I did not really die. I will be beside you forever, Until once again when we will be together. So when you feel you just can't go on, Look deep within you and know you are strong. Don't give up, because I know one thing is true, You will find that hero that's deep within you. Always remember me and I will remember you too. But most of all, remember that I will always love you." So, on this day of remembrance, think of this man and all the others who faught for you and me. They gave their lives for us, they died to keep us free.Birth sign: Aquarius
