Beauty
I once knew a lady
Strong as can be
She was happy, cheery
And special to me
I knew her for a long time
She never would shout
She was beautiful you know
Inside and out
Her presence was felt
By her family and friends
Then her life suddenly
Came to an end
She left us so suddenly
After the sun had shone
She was only with us from dusk until dawn
Most of us heart broken
Some of us sad
Some of us confused
And some of us mad
Because she was so special
In many many ways
She helped me get through
All those ugly days
It was her that made an impact
On my life and yours
Sharon, did you have to go?
Knocking on heaven’s door
But we know she moved on
To a much better place
Without pain and suffering
With the wind in her face
With no regrets to look back
And see us moving on
Sharon, we’ll miss you
Even though you’re gone
Right now I am sad
I really want to cry
But before you go Sharon,
here is goodbye
