On the Scales of the NIght...

by Beth - Scorpio

You found me
Alone in the silence
when the dusk became old and the dawn just a notion
We made love that night
Under a blood red moon
Should we have see it as a sign?
some kind of lunar warning?
Were we fulfilling our destiny?
or prehaps creating something new, unforeseen?
Was this weakness?
this, this feeling that eminated from our souls.
Or was it more like surrender?
could it have even been love/
or just something undescribable/

What was being weighed on the scales of the night?
Should we have feared for the worthiness of our souls/
was it wrong to want you without giving you my heart?should I have been stronger, resisting the song of the dark?
I did not ask you for your love, your heart.
I did not ask you for your soul.
And yet you gave it so willingly.
You breathed my name
Together we found the summit
we inhaled the scent of a passing passion that time would never forget.
had we been enchanted?
did the Pines cast a spell/ What night magic bewitched us?
What led two young souls on this journey of seduction and lust?
A rebellious wind blew through my hair that night
I teased you
i seduced you
And you
were so
EAGER.......
