Why does it have to be this way

by Ciara - Cancer

A world full of lies
A room full of cries

A night with one regret
An innocent baby to forget

A life in retrospect
A minority the usual suspect

A dirt-poor old man
The unsatisfying breeze coming from an old fan

Screams from sick babies
Enough junk in this world to drive you crazy

A whisper of bad intentions
Two people in an unnecessary collision

Two children, a gun, one loss of vision
Rape under close supervision

I ask why does it have to be this way
A world filled with violence and hate

Why couldn't it be safe?
If only we gave love some faith

Reason for writing:

think of all the shit wrong in this world!
