I Never Plan To Let You Go

You opened my eyes
To allow me to view
Things in different ways
I once never knew.

You in a way
Helped me from the way I used to be
To become the me
You now see.

I want to thank you,
And I'm grateful to you for everything I am and I have,
And by my side through it all,
You were here holding my hand.

At times, I didn't want to listen
To what my heart said was right,
But you were there still
Giving me a hug and holding me tight.

In the end,
We came together to love each other so.
And I want you to know now that I found you,
I never plan to let you go.
