THE NIGHT GAMES In the night the children play I watch them dance every day The blackness seems to take over their faces As they go to thier many places Sweet innocent babies Spreading fear like rabies They haunt the sleeping And leave them weeping These children of the night As they begin their torturous flight They change into monsters And hide in the rafters They whisper in your ear of death and corruption As you sleep away your life's deduction They creep upon you and take away your breath Find a pillow and suffocate you to death People seem so shocked As they are killed and stalked They hunt in the night Until there is fear in sight They torture their prey And it's all in play
Reason for writing:
I don't really have a reason for writing this poem, and there really is no meaning to it. Everyone seems to have thier own meaning for poetry and I think that's why it is so beautiful. I guess you could say that this one is about bullies. They don't actually come and kill you in the night, but some people let it bother them so much, that they can't sleep at night. So I guess that Night Games could be taken as a poem about the fear children fear from other children.
