Punishment

by ~Ms. Sarah~ - Cancer

Your words scratch at my all ready bleeding ears
I cover my ears, but the sounds still creep in
Why do you speak such harshness to me?
I never made you any promises
So how could I have broken them?
You chose to shove me away
And now you act surprised that I wont return
I'm not going to bow down and kiss your feet
I'm a prize, I deserve to be sought after and earned
I wont chase you around like a boy-crazy schoolgirl
Find someone who will and keep your lies to yourself
Im tired of listening to the sickening sound of your voice
I let you go so long ago, why cant I be rid of you?
You keep coming back to torment and punish me
Leave me in peace and go on with your life
So I can move on too and be happy without you...
