Fabiana Swims with Death

by Quatch - Scorpio

She swims limply
with fake plastic trees
and eyes that are watching God.

Air is poisonous
to lungs watered sweet
so breath stings burning flesh blue.

Her eyes bulge
searching clear surfaces
though blind to her soul's nourishment.

Deeper she sinks
ignoring the guiding light
down to her lair with death's lingering aftertaste.

Reason for writing:

Fabiana my siamese fighting fish is the most dark, soulful creature I know. To her I dedicate my most sorrowful utterances, praying that my words may reach her in her soundless water world.
