The Passing

by July Church - Capricorn

The Passing

All revolution begins with the fracturing of language
Stunted construction
Loose synapse sense in the non-functionary recluse
At the back of the cracked mind a leopard sits in utero
   waiting to sow a seed,
Grow a breed apart from this Bill sandwich Allen dominant
Little Boy brilliant register riches all the exiled
money to Algiers for a shot at Armageddon and seclusion
A breed removed from capitalist competition
Annihilate consummate consumer
Soup through the intestines,
Out the anal fixture,
Back to the garden
Obsession with money kill
Earth stallion secluded at resortium
Requiem for the blistered steed
Cage cacophony
Caution replaces courage and we fall into speech patterns
  like stitches identical footsteps
Rhythmic comfort in march cadence
Fall in step over the line
Into the circle
Weave spellbound strides left three turns into magic
conceived in faith if we name it Adam on the Eve of
 Destruction
It was her to the core
Her skirt no chaser straight to the poison arrow shot into
velvet air dripping anomaly and nectar
Scylla, Charybdis, Siren trance onto brave Ulysses tale and
 all read Joyce
The academics sweat for explanation as 'G' becomes 'C'
And they never do - see, that is
'T' becomes 'I' and me is hungry for connection
'W' becomes 'U'
And they run from recognition of cognition to cars wrapped
gift wood in the horse mouth
Can you feel it falling apart?
Under milk tree to bob for robbers in the earth waist
Double entendre
Triple sec for the flying angels high on saki and
 dissolution
There is no solution when the language begins to shatter
The mad one plays Stevie hair with mushroom jive and water
transport winter Alice in a hazy booze bruise techni-coat
of coffee hue on a blown island spewing acid precognitive
 precipitation
Water cells assault those who see rhyme
So we accept dry blank stare verse and call it art because
 we don't understand it
So it must be above us
Because the working man is taught inferiority all his life
But he covers vision with alcohol nicotine mantra
And poetry works only for the elite because they exist on a
 higher plane
And they can afford to fly and not worry about crashing
Because money buys additional incarnations here in Amerika
Big Catholic lie all over again
Catholicism
Capitalism
Pope
Czar
Press-I-dent
Gold chalice finery mansion
John Paul Greenback bucks dollars in a cathedral
Churches
Ovens
Mass stride to oblivion utopia
No miss step Amerika little writer starving for break down
on the farm where sun calls out to labor
And all it desires is dismemberment
Don't be a threat
Don't think
Accept the steel cylinder into the rectum
U.S. Steel
American steal
It does it to us again
Anal amphetamine for suppository consumption
Be a good consumer
Buy American
Bye, Amerika
Good gentle into that night go not
Dew-covered mourning for the fading father
Soon he will be invisible like the artists of old
The ones who wrote by faith
Lived by faith
When the world was much younger
More naive
More livable
More willing to take chances
Like the teen who speeds with faith that he is invincible,
 eternal

Language fades
And revolt is in the heir

Reason for writing:

In our society so many seem to be cattle being led to the slaughter, and the means by which we are controlled are so subtle that most don't even know they're being controlled. The poem is also a chance to play with language and indulge my twisted tributes to some writers/artists I hold in high esteem such as William Burroughs, Allen Ginsburg, John Cage, James Joyce and Dylan Thomas, to name a few.
