Lost And Alone On A Saturday Night

by Jack Daniels - Virgo

You left
Without saying a word
My words
Are no longer heard

You left
Under a stormy sky
My words
They're just endless "Whys?"
Why can't you hear my cry

So it's all over now
Come on and dry those eyes
There's no need to cry

Cos I know what it's like
To be lost and alone
On a saturday night

Now I'm down at the bar
But you're no longer there
Now the city is burning
Yet you don't have a care

I'm down on the beach
I'm looking around for you
But you're no longer there
The vows you took weren't true

Well it's all over now
Come on and dry those eyes
There's no need to cry

Cos I know what it's like
To be lost and alone
On a saturday night

They grind you down
Down into the muddy earth
Nothing can stop you
In your endless search

But it's all over now
Come on and dry those eyes
Ain't no need for you to cry

I know what it's like
To be lost and alone
On a saturday night.
