Hatred Loved

by thadeuss - Sagittarius

We play this game,
You and I.
You play me and I
Play you, we go around.
I'll never win, you've beaten
Me already.

I play your game; you're
Really playing mine. I caught
You in my web, I teased and
Coaxed; look who's caught now.
All the time you were in the lead.

How do you do it? How
Do you make me feel so
Weak? Stop it, this isn't
Supposed to happen, I'm deceiving
You, you can't beat me at my
Own game, it's not fair.

I could put up the pieces,
Pack away the board; I could
Forget you because then you'd
Go away. I don't want to do it,
Stay awhile, you know I can't say no.

I hate you, I love you, I close
My eyes and you're there,
Playing in my mind. I hate it, get out,
But don't go away, you have to
Stay.

The dice has rolled; I got doubles;
I won. You lost. I beat my own game,
I wonder when I'll see that it was
But a part of yours. Are we still playing,
Maybe I'll beat yours too, if you
Let me; you've already won.

Reason for writing:

if all is told to us, what do we have to figure out for ourselves?
