“A Letter to my Friend” Last night I prayed especially for you I prayed to God in heaven to watch over you I thought about the talk we had the other day You mentioned that your problems won’t seem to go away I could not help but notice that look upon your face As you spoke about the problems you deal with everyday Bills are late money is short you cannot pay your rent Before you get paid on Friday your money is already spent Problems in your home the kids are out of control Your spouse is never there they’re always on the go You also said that you were sick dying of a disease You asked the Lord in heaven “My God, my God why me” I patiently listened as you went on talking about this and that You could not but worry wondering where your help was at But then you said with confidence everything will be alright I thought to myself how could that be that just does not seem right You said that God is with me He said He would always be I know my God in heaven is watching over me I have problems of many kinds but things will be ok At least I’m here to face them all yet another day To wake up in the morning is more than enough for me For one day I’ll be with God and live eternally So my friend I ask you on this very special day When you go home and think of me just bow your head and pray Don’t feel pity or sorrow that’s not what I need I need someone like you to get down on bended knee Our conversation ended as my friend went on his way I kept my word when I think of him I bow my head and pray I am not sure what happened to my dear old friend Maybe God has called him to come and be with Him If you are out there listening or you should get this letter You’ve changed my life in many ways my life is now much better So God if You could please pass this on to my friend I know that You can reach him no matter where he is Tell him I said thanks for the conversation that day I now and always will remember to simply pray The friend I found in him I know was heaven sent I know that one day soon we will meet again Written By: Mozel Hargrays SrBirth sign: Aquarius
