Barely Ten

by Jack Daniels - Virgo

Barely ten
The lights come off
The sun does'nt rise
Barely ten

The day has begun
Time to leave
tears burning
My red cheeks

Barely ten
Goodbyes uttered
In gutteral tones
Barely ten

Anticipation
Trepidation
Builds
In my cold
Soul

Barely ten
The car arrives
removal van of life
Barely ten

Casting looks
Pleading forgiveness
Goodbyes
Ringing in my ears

Barely ten.
