TO BE AT ONE

by Mark wells - Scorpio

To Be At One

The seas pull to me was great,
That windy oceans sky.
Blowing her main sails,
Power to steer her by.
My hands steady her.
Grip firm, reassuring not shaking,
Caressing her smoothly along,
The foamy waves breaking.
Wispy clouds floating,
Birds gracefully flying.
Amorous sea gulls circling,
Others feeding and crying.
The seas a place I would give my life.
To be at one, where the wind,
Feels like a damp knife.
All I ask is a fine wind,
And the suns warm glow.
To gently caress her along,
To be at one as we gently go.
