Love Can Save Us Both (But Not You And Me)

by Jack Daniels - Virgo

Hold me
Is all that I ask
Save me
Is it such a hard task

When I'm here
With you lying beside me
With nothing to fear
I can be free

What ever happened
To you and me
Why did it all fall apart
At the seams

Everybody hopes
For pleasant dreams

When everything
Seemed so right
I said I'd bring
A piece of the night
For you

The darkness comes
In the middle of the light
Everythings cold
I'm on the edge of the night

It's one big joke
Can you see
Love can save us both
But not you and me

Forgotten faith
Forbidden dreams
Poisened water
Devil fiends

Covering our tracks
Dodgeing
and ducking
Forgotten all the facts

Muds still wet
Moons shining down
We're still trapped in the net
Trying to break free

Standing on the precipace
Looking out into the night sky
I'm starring my future in it's face
There's no sense in asking why

Want me
Is all that I ask
Hold me
Is it such a hard task

What ever happened
To you and me
Why did it all fall apart
At the seams

We hope
For pleasant dreams

It's one big joke
Can you see
Love can save us both
But not you and me

Love can save us
But not you and me.
