just moments from telling
the truth to you
I discovered another one
hiding behind unspoken lies
who would have thought
that of all the people in my world
I'd meet you again
passing you in a spinning motion
avoiding a second look
convincing myself not to listen
even though you've returned
maybe it's a good thing
I kept some of my cards
weathered as they are
knowing I'm too old now
for that sort of game
I sense there still is light
behind the forgotten doors
then ask myself...
"open them... again?"
