In Memory of Anna

by PunkyThespian - Libra

I lay flowers at your feet
- Beg you to dance again
I need to learn
not to dig up the earth
I sit here now, on top of your ground
Waiting for the grass to grow
I hold flowers at your feet
I remember when we danced
I sit here and tell myself
"Its time to go..."
But the grass wont grow
And my legs don't move
- I don't move...except for the tears
Gravity steals from my face
Water makes the grass grow
Flowers make this place yours
Flowers, and hearts drawn in the dirt
And countless messages
Burried beneath this ground
That we all dig up
And then push back down

Reason for writing:

In loveing memory of Anna S. who was killed by a drunk driver.
