untouched

half a night away from another complete change
words appear in the undisturbed silence
tears where none should be
trying to bring my mind to a sudden halt

not all of them can be avoided,
not all of them ignored
and it was not so long ago,
new faces came to show

I have no other reason
to be happy like this
never telling, never true
that I've been staying 
just for you

I don't know if you've realized
by the way I look
there's no way I could change
so I give myself away
hoping that the nameless faces
take me apart, then take me in

to change the way I look at things
I can't let them renew my facade
when there's too much inside
still unfinished 
still untouched
