The day fades with each closing night Passing minute by minute into lost closures And unrequited love I seemed closed off from the rest of the world Cut off from the smiles and laughter As though I were a retired clown Left with only rushing water Draining from my eyes Sometimes I think this isn't real Caught up in a dream world Where only lies and betrayals Are the actual truths Confusing, I know Yet it all seems to make sense from within My own darkness Depressions seeps from every pore As I drink it up Though it were alcohol Posion to my blood Yet life to my already dead body Shall I even dare to awake the sleeping death Hung lifelessly around my now frail heart?
