Every morning They would Gather 'round In the South Hall Bathroom With me As the main Attraction First I would Blow dry My hair And they would say You do this every morning Is your hair naturally That blonde? That soft? Can I touch it? And I would indulge them Then I would do my eyes My eyelash curler A particular fascination What is that? Does it hurt? Can I try? One day I had enough LOOK I said I'm getting PISSED Right then My hair dryer Blew out a Ball of fire And lots of smoke One of them screamed The rest ran out They thought I had cursed them After that I would find Offerings Of candy bars And cigarettes Left outside My door One girl Left me A little doll Fired from Red clay Wrapped in Blue fabric With real Blonde hair I liked that oneBirth sign: Libra
