Adagio

by zara - Aries

Adagio,
let spirits fly,
and all things come to pass,
the music like a loving voice,
and softest tinkling glass,
and light and air; emotion,
wrapped in the music's sound,
to take me up to heaven,
then purvey me to the ground.
In music let me dream and sleep,
in music let me lie,
with music there to theme my life,
and music, then to die,
with songs of joy to light the way,
and songs of pain to heal,
a requium at end of day,
and heaven's light to steal;
in each dear piece, a memory,
is hidden deep inside,
and while my heart's still beating,
in there it will abide.
