A LIFELESS HAND

by Cletus Hardiman - Sagittarius

A LIFELESS HAND

Shook hands the other day
with a guy I just had met,
But, there was go grip to his hands
a lifeless handshake, you can bet!
It reminded me of the many times
I've reached out to my wife,
Receiving just a lifeless hand,
that stabbed my heart just like a knife!
And, when I die, it just could be,
That she will miss this loving hand,
And, in my casket, take hold of me,
Just to find a lifeless hand!
