BOYHOOD DREAM

by Mark wells - Scorpio

BOYHOOD DREAM

She was a vision a boyhood dream,
Her eyes melted me with a wicked gleam.
Lascivious lips, the way she walked,
We had so much in common as we talked.
We arranged to meet after class,
She left the café just after half past.
As she crossed the road a car hit her fast,
I ran to her my mouth aghast.
Chafed hair, eyes shone no more,
I knelt and stroked her tears hit the floor.
She died in my arms I looked up to the sky,
She was so young God, What’s the point…Why.
The ambulance arrived and took her away,
As I dream I see her slipping away.
One day we will meet, my boyhood dream,
Your eyes can melt me with a wicked gleam.

Reason for writing:

Two may young people are killed on the roads.
