Thrown Away

by orange_4_m - Sagittarius

a one night stand, a tangle between the sheets,
unprotected love affair, a baby was conceived.

mother didn't know quite how to get it through,
that father had to be a man, almost a daddy soon.

she didnt quite get it either, only fifteen,
she'd have to grow up too, and handle everything.

the baby's grandmother turned away,
said the baby was her daughters own mistake.

the baby's grandfather became enraged,
wanted no part in it, unless they were engaged.

father thought marrying was a big joke,
he took off, left mother alone.

mother was at the end of her rope,
no friends, family, to help her cope.

sunshine, summertime, just a normal day,
an unprotected teen girl, a baby was thrown away.

Reason for writing:
