What's at that finish line?

by Keg - Leo

The starting horn went
And I was off with a bang
Not looking back
Not even thinking
Just hitting the books till they bled
With information
Straight to my head
Encouraged all the way
day by day
week by week
year by year
I'm grateful for that
Not many can say they have those who care

Running down the track
I was getting closer to the end
I stop to think
I stop to clear my head
I enjoyed hitting the books until they bled
But don't like
where I'm being led
I just want to stay
And be away
from realities grip
I want to be happy
Whic most people claim is rare

Reason for writing:

I'm not sure where my life is heading at the moment
