as the smoke circles your face, i wish we could just leave this place, me and you together, put away all the disgrace, weve lived a exciting past, drugs and girls reigned supreme, we were the ones on top, but along the way weve forgotten our dreams, were so far away, but your still in my heart, i knew wed make it someday, but when will it start, joel i miss you man, how much youll never know, your the only person who hasnt left, and the only person who wont go, or ditch me when things get rough, you know that things can get tough, but somehow we made it this far, almost losing our lives along the way, you know weve lost our souls, we will get it back someday, i can not forget the times, we shared together in the car, smoking blunts just me and you, it didnt matter how far, we were willing to take it, there was always some other level, we made everything thin, the things we planted in there heads, young minds so easily tampered with, and we wanted to play the role of gods, drugs surrounded everything we did, and some of what we coninue to do, but whos the real me, and whos the real you, weve gone so far, and yet have no proof, weve seen so many things go wrong, and still never tell the truth, im scared joel, of things yet to come, when will we change these ways of ours, when will be done????
