Deep in the heart of the forest, she sits perched on a mossy log Her golden hair flows to her feet, as the wind turns to a slight fog The keeper of the forest greets her, in his camouflaged attire Her lifeless eyes stare at him, as though his spirit were on fire Spying her dispirited impression, he falls to one knee And calls forth the suns rays, to give her hope she can see Inside the light the butterfly floats, offering a sense of peace Raising her arms she motions to the creature, this wonder her fingertips must cease Inside the reflection of her eyes, the creature moves with such grace Restoring hope with each flutter, life again she learns to embrace Resting his hand upon her shoulder, he releases the creature to flight The ray of light slips out of the trees, as the apparition disappears into the forest's night Turning her head she meets his eyes, a flicker of golden light he scopes Inside her spirit the creature remains, forever holding the butterfly of returning hope.Birth sign: Pisces
