A Special Place In Paradise

by Kevin A. Friduss - Scorpio

A Special Place In Paradise

I’m feeling different today
I know something wonderful is going to happen
Leaving our room now
Smiling
Laughing
Waiting
Waiting to get there
Waiting to get to that special place

I’m starting to remember how long I’ve been waiting
Everyday at school
Sitting and watching the clock
Round and round it went
The days were never ending

But now look where I am
I’m in paradise now
I want to walk faster to get there
I can see it
I’ve been waiting so long

I sit down
Smiling
Laughing
I’m here
I can hear the birds chirping
The palm trees are swaying in the wind like I imagined
The waterfalls turn on and the hot tubs heat up
It’s not just coming, its here

I’m smiling about how when I sat in school I would dream about this special spot
This special place to sit
The chair at the edge
The edge of the shiny baby blue pool
The pool is so cold
But so refreshing

My eyes dance around
I’m actually here
I pinch myself but I’m not dreaming
That warm climate with a cool breeze is real
Sometimes reality can be pretty good
I’m so happy here

I start to listen to music
Put on my suntan lotion
Sun Glasses
My hat
I never want to leave this place
It’s to perfect
If heaven were like this then I would be very happy

Taking a walk at the waters edge
Slipping a foot into the water
Smiling at all those pretty girls tanning on their chairs
I laugh a little
I’m here
I will always cherish this place
Cherish the way it feels and smells
The waves crash in the ocean
The kids splash and laugh in the pool

The grass is soft
There’s some smell that is so addicting
Here we are
I can’t wait to let everyone know about this place
The weather
The women
The laughter
Smiles
The waiting for that special place
My special place in paradise

Reason for writing:

There's always going to be one vacation that I'll remember forever and that's laying out on the soft green grass in Hawaii.
