Waiting On The Night To Fade

by Elisa Hinson - Libra

I realize now
(Too late)

That it has come
To this

Three days sober
And there's

Nothing I could say
Nothing I could do

To take back
What I have done

I had you
And lost you

To something
Long since gone

And now I miss
More than anything

Those eyes
That voice
Those words

The way you saw
Straight through me

I was hoping you
Could see through this

I guess not

So now i give
You back

The wisest words you
Ever said to me

I think you are more
Afraid than I am

Of what we might
Turn out to be
