Driving by the lake On a hot summer night Who says it's wrong It feels so right And I can hear the pulse of your beating heart I see the look in your tear filled eyes Lots of fuel but no spark Can I rescue you from all these lies And I can feel the pain in your soul I am the only one who can free you I never want to escape your hold All the wishes you could hope for still ring true So I'm down on my knees Begging and pleading Poisened promises left on the breeze All I need to hear is 'yes' YOur hesitent and I can understand All those emotions bursting through your defenses Will you let me be your man Those maybe's are driving me senseless YOu say you need me Then why do you shiver at my touch? But it doesn't matter what you do I just love you so much You say you want me Maybe I've run outta luck But it doesn't matter what happens I still love you so much There are days when it feels like I've lost it all There are days when I lose control These days last so long Only you can make me strong The tears are just smoke and mirrors The vows just empty lies The pact is just a cover Do you want me to your lover? You can feel the music on the radio Bursting the rivers I need a race, you need to take it slow Will we ever survive? I'm used to playing it loud I'm trying to play it cool I'm trying to hold onto that voice in the dark God, its like waiting for the end of school So just give an answer- YOu say you love me Yet you shiver at my touch Maybe I'm just crazy Or baby I love you too much..........
