Enigma

by Beth - Scorpio

An age old enigma...How did we get here?
The final chapter...mans common fear.

It seems to me.....a dead end thought
Like the chicken and the egg....which came before?

Is God real?...Did he sit up on his etheral throne?
And look all around...to find himself alone.

It's time to redecorate...and the cosmos did appear
The universes, solar systems, stars and meteors

Comets and asteriods, all the moons and the sun
but still something was missing...God still the only one

So he sought out Earth...His tapestry he did weave
The brightest blues ,deepest browns and dazzling greens

Every colour of the rainbow,he showered down to earth
Creating, rivers, trees and mountains, every detail had it's worth

And so the life did prosper, a garden of paradise
But something was still missing..ahh, human life!

So God created Adam, he moulded him from dust
Gave him a body, heart and soul, gave him love and trust

But still this wouldn't do and so he took another piece of dirt
And from it sprouted Lillith, true woman of the Earth

God was angered by his last creation, she wouldn't bow to Adams needs
So she sprouted wings and off she flew, to live in the dead sea

God then took a rib, from within Adams chest
with this he created Eve, a woman he loved best

For sometime they were happy, until a snake slithered into their world
He seduced the pure Eve and bought damnation to the Earth

God angered by their betrayal, banished them from Eden
The penance they would pay, they could now be evil

I wonder if God had settled, for the first draft that he drew
Would Lillith had fallen, could she have been seduced?

How different would our world be now, Evil foriegn to our hearts?
No wars , no sin , no price to pay, Heaven a promise from the start.

I have many theories, this is just but one
The enigma of a life time...how the world was begun.

Reason for writing:

Not the best, just mindless babble really...
Just playing with the idea of creation.
