It's such a contradiction To live this life we lead Every twist and turn we take to fulfill our every need We rationalise every motive Take a rule and make it bend we pervert every reason so the means justifies the end We warp a view to suit us paint our pictures of perjury taking with out consciousness or consequentiality Must fulfill every desire forsaking what we need These malingerers are my parents So where does that leave me?
Reason for writing:
The way certain members of my family rationalise their lives, and their refusal to see the truth, to the point where they now believe the lies they've told.
