Humility

by Haneef Khan - Aquarius

	Humility

Humility, is what, the world needs,
Peace and harmony not selfish greed.
For when just the other day,
Some bullies yes they made him pay.

It was a cold and rainy day,
On an unexpected day of May.
A boy named Lou whose brain did shine,
Got beaten to a pulpy rind.

He cared not for the childish jokes,
Nor for the trains or rubber boats.
He liked to sit right at his desk,
And do the dreaded maths test.

For he was only eight and a half,
But was still the Center of every laugh.
So when he was sitting there,
At playtime, break time, sitting, stare.

He was pounced upon in sportive jest,
Did they ever give him a rest?
But no, it couldn’t do,
They had to do, what they did, to Lou.

They took him down and toed him in,
They swung him ‘bout and clobbered him.
They picked him up and struck him down,
His head was spinning round and round.

While Lou, was on the floor,
The big kid, they nicknamed Thor,
Strode to the front of the crowd,
And shouted Greek extremely loud.

All other kids, whose faces shone,
All of those except for John,
John went and ran for his life,
To find a teacher, to stop the strife.

The bullying was still going on,
Kids throwing themselves, just like bombs,
The teacher arrived they were kicking like horse,
He was to late. Lou was a corpse.
