Snowflake

by Cheryl Smith - Aries

Snowflakes

Fallen into somersaults
The sky is exultant
Silently giving forth genius
That is God, none alike
No one the same, in this journey
Jubilantly vaulting one
Upon & over another
Destinations unknown
Independent, but joined
Mission to wet the earth
Frozen beauty in its purity
Spoiled by use, or age
Shoveled aside for safety
Cleared away for comfort
One's blessings are not always
Warm or comfortable to all.

Reason for writing:

My inspiration was a snowy day in Chicago and I was reflecting how beautiful snow really is and what its purpose is.
