Night vs Day

by Andrew Northway - Gemini

In my mind there's a battle between day and night, a never-ending fight of black battling white. I'm in between sides, I'm crouching in the dark but reaching for light.
I hate the night, it makes me evilly blind, the darkness shading my sight.
I love the morning, it's like i'm a whole new man, in the sun i'm borning. Switching from black to white, day to night without warning.

I love watching the morning sunrise in the sky, the truthfulness, awareness, and deepness of such beauty tears my eye.
I've prepared for the worst but expected the best. Is this world a legend or of curse? Maybe my whole lif is just a test.

I look up in the sky and am surrouned by blue, it's filtering my life making me live only the truth. I look up at the clouds, in this day i'm a changed man, my soul deep and quiet yet my mind high and loud. This day i'm a changed man, suddenly becoming proud.

I look up in the sky, and from my soul, out comes a sigh. I thought of buying happiness, but after all that would be living a lie.

Reason for writing:

what an original idea eh? night vrs day, black vrs white. could it get any more overused as an idea in a poem? haha, when i wrote this i was actually at my cabin, and i was the only one on the beach in the morning. i couldn't sleep the whole night, and for some reason i took hatred on that night cause i couldn't sleep, then i watched the sunrise and realized how beautifull day was, lol. so i wrote this poem on a sand beach, under the sunrise, with mountains and trees behind me, what better place is there to write a poem, have inspiration, and get ideas could there be? NO PLACE. love your life, cause your life loves you,
